14. That's good news and bad news at the same time

Often, places that start getting positive media attention become popular and expensive.

I lived in Boulder, Colorado in the early 80s. It was dirt cheap, loads of fun and amazingly beautiful. Newsweek published an article called “Where the hip meet to trip”. Other publications listed us as one of the best places to live in the US. Pretty quickly things started to change.

It’s still a beautiful place but you need a lot of money.
