It is hopeless, nothing can be done.

We must suffer another three years of the Trump nightmare.

The original blame lies with the Founding Generation and their unwarranted fear of the people, their wrongheaded creation of an ‘indirect democracy,’ denying the people the means by which to remove a despotic tyrant such as Trump from power, and failing to foresee the likelihood of the rise of a despotic tyrant.
