If you can lie to yourself that insanely, you are definitely and easily lying to other people whenever it suits you.
I rarely ever lie, and if I do its only white lies. Like telling someone I love their outfit, or new hair style. Never, ever, ever to escape perceived negative consequences. Mainly because I learned early on being 100% truthful makes life and really any situation less stressful. Owning up to mistakes or occasional hurtful actions is respected by most people, and telling lies and trying to keep up with them is freaking stressful.
Anyway, it also has made it almost impossible for me to be a hypocrite about anything.
