AI and automation are obviously going to take more humans out of the game than just IT folks and factory workers. Sucks when it's you, for sure.
5 years ago, my creative friends were all ribbing me about IT being a doomed field, while the uniqueness of their contributions and the humanity they brought to their devotions made them somewhat irreplaceable. Turns out, as with most things, most folks are fine with a fake, and if the price doesn't change, who cares?
Maybe Hollywood and Music have the $$$ and popular appeal to stop it? I doubt it. Ask the guys who use to make creature models for movies and build sets...
Biilly Joel needs to write another Allentown, but for AI job casualties.
I hope an AI is busy working on how to get us all of those cool 1970's post-scarcity cities of the future...
