when, during the debate, he told the Proud Boys to "stand back and stand by"

Now we know... he was intending them to be HIS brown shirts that converted to Gestapo in June 1934 ( Night of the Long Knives ).

And they are now his Gestapo, his own secret police, killing anyone he doesn't like or even just witnesses their cruelty to any protest.
