How many were sympathetic to the German American Bund before the war?

Before that, how many were on board to prevent those terrible (fill in your minority of choice. Chinese, Catholic, Jew, German, Black, indigenous, Irish. Whatever the hate-able minority of the day was) from destroying this country?
