69. That is such a hilarious and heart warming story!

My daughter's speech was iconoclastic - as she is wont to be.

It was filled with stories and innuendo that only a few understood....containing the quote from Simon and Garfield..."when I think back on all the crap I learned in High School."

I was so proud!

As to the topic of the OP..... She did get in trouble often in High School, but mostly because she challenged the hypocrisy she saw around her. When my husband and I were called in because of her 'incorrigible' behavior, I told them that she was bored and needed more work, warning that she would be evil if she was bored....idle hands and all.

Astounded that a parent would say such things about their child, they agreed to try my suggestion.
It worked out perfectly. Sometimes it's best that the parents work with the teachers and administration instead of being defensive.
