3. Whenever I see stories like this, of some comedian doing classless and mean-spirited jokes

and being called to account for it, it causes me to wonder how much of their previous material was similarly classless and mean-spirited but accepted/laughed at.

I don't follow the live comedy world, I've never heard of Ben Bankas. Is he well known enough that his name was the driver behind selling out those six shows, or does that venue generally sell out its shows regardless of the performer?
