8. I was wondering how I'd feel if I saw cartoons like this 20 years ago.

These are powerful and visceral and damning of power. Even in the days of Nixon or Reagan or Brush/Cheney did the 'toonists have to rise to meet this very real threat.

Yet I also, again, become somewhat inured. I shouldn't. I should recognize that we are in extraordinary times and the columnists/bloggers/cartoonists are rising to meet the challenges.
