"In the conservative republican "mind" minds of almost every singe American everything is for profit, everything is for sale. Otherwise it has no value. Value is how we measure things. All things.
That is the more realistic and honest statement.
Unfortunately.
Yes, everything is for profit. And, we have let the wealthy in our society tweak our laws and culture to make sure that it stays that way as well as favor them and them alone.
And, we just go along with it. Because the rich are our 'betters'.
