She just left yesterday for a week in New York City for my sisters 70th birthday and a visit with our US based daughter and our grandsons.
She didnt get to see any of them in January because her mom died, and she had to rush back to Germany on Dec. 31. This is sort of a make-up time trip. I was in the US for almost all of January, and cant get away again so soon. So, she made the trip by herself. Shes a big girl now (will be 74 in June), and has managed just fine on her own so far.

I would guess that type of activity by the US has decreased greatly since a russian asset is in charge of DNI

My wife is a Canadian citizen and she flatly refuses to enter the US while he's in office.
