11. Many years ago as a little boy in N.W. Pennsylvania (Meadville) our next door neighbor in a middle class..

… neighborhood was the county D.A. and his brother was Ray Shafer who was the
Governor of PA and the finest man you would ever meet. He was a WW II hero, top of his class @
Allegheny College, Yale Law school.. @ or towards the top of his class … supported civil rights,
the environment, infrastructure, education, dropping laws against marijuana, talking to me when
I was fishing a few times, playing ball with the kids in the neighborhood, eating a meals and visiting
with the neighbors, and just being part of the neighborhood. Nobody would have thought of bothering
him because he was one of us. Btw most of the men in the neighborhood were WW II or Korean War
vets. And he was a Republican too. He was a Republican too.
