5. Wow, they are scared of Bob Kerrey

He's the only legitimate hope Nebraska has of getting a Democratic Senator. I doubt he will run and the Conservative Pacs are trying to scare him away. Ben Nelson was facing a brutal campaign and I think they scared him away. Kerrey is facing the same thing. He might be thinking at this point, 'Why would I want to get smeared mercilessly for the next 9 months?" Would be nice to have a real race and have some chance of not getting another toadie like Don Stenberg or John Brunning. Having the dumbest Senator in the Congress (Johanns) you thought would be bad enough but we're gunning for the 2 dumbest Senators in 2012.
