On July 10, 2019, major news was dominated by the resignation of the U.K. ambassador to the U.S. following leaked criticisms of the Trump administration, intensifying pressure on Labor Secretary Alexander Acosta regarding the Jeffrey Epstein plea deal. Billionaire Ross Perot passed away, and a Manhattan court ruled that President Trump could not block users on Twitter.

On August 10, 2019, American financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein was found dead by suicide in his Manhattan jail cell while awaiting federal sex trafficking charges.
