A few questions regarding this joyous addition to your family:

1. Did you consider your son to be less than a grownup prior to your grandchild's birth?
2. Would you consider him never a grownup if he hadn't had a child?
3. What, if anything, did you do to accomplish "Operation First Grandchild"?
4. What do you think of those who do not like being judged on their ability/desire to create offspring?
5. Do you consider "parent" to be a noun or a verb? If the latter, how do you judge the term, "grownup"?

I actually would like real, considered answers to the above questions, as too many will prejudge me as negative to the birth of the child in the picture. I have simply seen too many who consider donating sperm and eggs as the end-all-be-all to maturity. Again, congratulations on the birth. My the child grow to know what Arctic ice is.
