10. The US has immigrants from many countries

with repressive, authoritarian regimes, often these regimes were put in place or propped up by the US.
When these regimes are toppled many immigrants will support whichever president was behind the coup.
It's probably asking too much for many of these immigrants to prefer a party which is pro-lgbtq+, pro-women's choice, pro-minority rights in the US, but which didn't knock off the dictator in their home country to a party which is actively trying to expand authoritarianism in the US, but did knock off their home country dictator.
