forced to by their job or school, praising and promoting AI use, filling social media with AI slop, etc.

I was particularly struck by one of the Bluesky replies to the head of a teacher's union, the American Federation of Teachers, when she very foolishly posted some AI slop as "fun" over the holidays. I included that reply here:

Why? Why do this, now, at the peak of intellectual property theft by techbros anxious to cheapen, if not exterminate, some of the very folks you claim to represent?
It's like watching sailors punch holes in their own ship's hull because it's fun to play in the water.
