I left my professorship in history just before AI really took off, but I occasionally teach online classes for a few universities. And holy shit, it’s bad. Students can’t read or analyze to save their lives and their written work is appallingly basic, even using AI (which they’re not allowed to do, but do it anyway).
I will hopefully find a job in human rights so I don’t have to teach to make ends meet. It is soul crushing.
