8. Sadly every American's and Canadian's Full Name, DOB & SSN/SIN is on the dark web.

Freeze the 3 credit bureaus, Chexsystems, Everify and IRS accounts. You should create an online account with SSA to monitor your yearly recorded income and if someone is claiming SSA/DI in your name.

I have had to do this for the last 30+ years due to identity theft. I've had hundreds of attempts to get credit, a job or open bank accounts in my name. They will give notice when someone tried to use your SSN for credit, job or checking account.
