11. Kentucky was also the last southern state to hold on to a Dem majority legislature

Kentucky is not your typical, red southern state by any means. We are sometimes unpredictable. That's why Rand Paul and Massie don't catch a lot of blowback back home when they buck Trump.

It's also why I believe Beshear could flip Kentucky in the general in 2028 if he were the nominee. That would be 8 EV's that would never be available for any other Democrat.
