7. I could just say "modern" conservatives...but..

Your list isn't really "conservative," as it were..."conservation" is really a liberal and progressive sort of thing, for it preserves and protects Nature, rather than exploiting and spending it heedlessly...

The Insterstate Highway system - definitely a liberal idea - can you imagine conservatives today allowing such a thing? Interesting side note, Ike got the idea for the highway system while traveling across the country as a youngster in the army...bruised his butt up on all those horse trails evolved into shoddy roads, he did...

And the EPA? Not really a conservative thing, given how conservatives have been trying to dismantle it pretty much since it's inception...
