"Just say the election was corrupt and leave the rest to me"

That's what the con told the DOJ in 2020 after he lost the election. But the DOJ has no authority over elections. That power lies with the States. The con filed 63 lawsuits in his attempts to overturn the results. All of them failed.

The SAVE act though would give unprecedented power to the DHS. DHS would have access and authority over every State's voter rolls. So if the con doesn't like any election result he could instruct DHS to say the election was corrupt.

In January, it was reported that DOGE members were working with advocacy groups whose stated aim was to find evidence of voter fraud and to overturn election results in certain States.

"SSA determined in its recent review that in March 2025, a political advocacy group contacted two members of SSA's DOGE Team with a request to analyze state voter rolls that the advocacy group had acquired," wrote senior Justice Department official Elizabeth Shapiro. "The advocacy group's stated aim was to find evidence of voter fraud and to overturn election results in certain States."
