See, the problem with these attempts to rewrite history is that we have all been here the whole time, watching. Obama, corporate Republicans, and corporate Democrats colluded on this Shock Doctrine scam last spring, remember? They deliberately orchestrated it to use Social Security as a hostage to pass an austerity deal and to garner praise for the participants when the contrived axe of SS benefits did not fall...this time.

Eighty to ninety percent of the Bush tax cuts have been *extended,* traded for *temporary* concessions, and we face more Shock Doctrine jerking around to meet austerity goals welcomed by our Democratic President in just a couple months. Calling this a win is like being grateful that there is a little bit of lettuce on your shit sandwich.

The game was rigged from the start, bipartisanly. The people will suffer austerity, the Military Industrial Complex will be fed, and the pathetic little slap to only the very wealthiest of the wealthy will give Democrats, in Reich's words, "an inside-the-Beltway symbolic victory."

And we are already seeing the disgusting spectacle of corporate Democrats trying to claim that they represented us because the contrived axe of SS cuts that *OBAMA* deliberately hung over seniors' heads, twice, as a hostage to get this sham deal did not fall...this time.

The next jerking around is just around the corner.
