1. How did the Crusades work out?

Depending on which one.

the First Crusade was a decisive victory for the Western forces, the Christians.

the Second Crusade was the biggest W for the Muslims.

BTW using this example for Iran isn't very logical... the forces in the Holy Land around the Crusades weren't Persian OR Arab.
