Middle class folks get to see long term stability in their tax rates. Not just with their income tax rate but with many credits a lot of families rely on, that stuff has been protected.
The richest are going to pay more. If anyone loses out in this deal, its them and only them and you are entirely unable to refute that.
Unemployment insurance has been extended.
And Democrats still have the sequester in place to use as leverage for more revenue later on.
Nothing really radical was done. If the shock doctrine were truly at play here, then they would've used it as an excuse to do something really big to benefit the wealthy, but they didn't do that. The wealthy did not get any enormous gifts out of this. The estate tax might be the only arguable gift they got and thats really not that big of a deal in the grand scheme of budgets. Shock doctrine doesn't mean what you apparently think it means. But I guess you like the way it sounds, so you have to repeatedly use the phrase every other sentence.
And yea, I will defer to guys like Sherrod Brown and Al Franken and Bernie Sanders. They are smarter about this than you are. Deal with it.
