Hiroshima and Nagasaki were valid military targets...civilian deaths were collateral damage...
Uff double speak.
Then you get into the whole "did it end the war sooner" and saved American and Japanese lives?.
Looking at the casualties on Iwo Jima (7000 US dead)and Okinawa (12,000 US dead) the estimates for US dead with the invasion of Japan would be over 200,000 dead.
