(69,415 posts)I'm puzzled by all the posts saying that the timing is suspicious.
To me, the timing seems very reasonable. People who know about his history don't want him to win the primary. Similar to people not wanting Clarence Thomas or Brett Kavanaugh to be appointed to SCOTUS. History shows that they were right. It's not good to have sexual predators on SCOTUS. They make bad decisions. Californians probably don't want a sexual predator as governor. Cough cough Cuomo.
People forget this is the primary, and it's California. The Democratic nominee will win unless a huge scandal upends their candidacy right before the general election. (That happened to the Republican candidate for governor in NC, which is why we have a Democratic governor right now.)
This is exactly the right time for this to come out.
