I think his diversity (for a lack of a better term) could be turned into an asset like Obama did in 2008, simply becauseand I have to be very careful how I say thisI think his gravitas persona is palatable enough to Middle Americans who might otherwise be hesitant to elect a gay man as President.
Of course 2028 is much different than 2008. Assuming Trump doesnt kick it but also doesnt attempt some extra-Constitutional craziness like try to force a third term on us, say Pete wins over JD Vance or whatever patsy the Republicans put forth. Then Trump decides he just doesnt want to leave. After January 6th, its not that unimaginable.
