Turn them around and make them go back?
Sink them?
Send them to the U.S. to offload their cargoes there (which would be piracy basically)? This could be dozens to hundreds of ships. Its one thing to prevent ships going into the Strait but stopping and presumably seizing all the ships that come out is impractical at best.
