Strictly speaking you could "black a straight" by making sure it's a straight using just clubs or spades. Or maybe dipping somebody who's straight in black paint or tar? Or even better, Vantablack!

Then again, the OP talked about a "strait," and I assume that it's a typo for "block the Strait."
