in case a Dem Congress impeaches and convicts him.

In the event that he is ever convicted after being impeached, he will refuse to leave. A bunker would be a safe hideout from being arrested.

Or maybe he wants a bunker to hide from any of the numerous enemies he has made over the years in case they try to get revenge.

But a combo ballroom and bunker? That's just bonkers.
