As a parent, I compassionately used my relative omnipotence (as a Dad) to help raise a wonderful child.
THAT is the model.

From a Buddhist (and other mystic) perspective:

All people are equal.
All are equally endowed, and to the delight of the universe, unique.
The power is within.
Compassion is the driving force in the universe. (1)

(1) What you are seeing now is what happens without it.

I am comfortable with "both" traditions because they do merge in the mystic realm.
I just prefer to find that out and live it here and now, rather than the alternative.

Mysticism in everyday life? It's there to be had. 🪷
