Especially if he stumbles, he'll feel the need to cover for that by explaining what he thinks the words really mean. I can hear it now, "And the lord sayeth...um, sayeth, now there's a word people, I'm one of the few people who knows this, but that's the biblical times word for said, yes, that means said, just a tremendous word, sayeth means said."

He cannot help himself but to pretend he's the expert on anything he reads and he's the only one who really understands anything.

And what would be even funnier is afterwards the religious right jumping to defend any and every nonsensical thing he says, "Technically people, we've found some hidden scrolls and Trump may have actually been right when he said, "on the 7th day, god created Super Mario Brothers tremendously." That's the actual new interpretation of Genesis. And yes, yes, we do in fact find evidence that Phil Collins wrote the book of Genesis. It's all true."
