Presidential campaigns are too long as it is. Speculation on candidates is the wrong focus.

Democrats first need to focus on what we have to do to save our Constitutional democracy, and on how we can best serve the American people. The wealth gap between the top 1% and bottom half is obscene, unjust, and unsustainable.

As these efforts progress, leaders will emerge through not just words but actions. Focusing on candidates at this early stage is a mistake. We project all our hopes on a person, rather than having a robust debate on the policies and message Democrats need to move our country forward and get voters on board.
