This might not have happened if those guys had been in a pizzeria in South Carolina or Mississippi. Hell, I still get censorious looks for being in a mixed marriage here in Texas. The Bible Belt wouldn't have been so kind to those young men. I have hope though. My daughter went to UT in San Antonio ten years ago and they had an LGBT organization on campus. The other students were at best highly accepting and supportive and the only real problem they got was from the Campus Christian organizations.
