3. Democrats can learn a lesson from what I did 50 years ago.

Powerful people were going to frack for gas and strip coal on our town's watershed. I organized the largest group of people ever to attend a borough council meeting. I then organized a local group to protect our watershed, held regular meetings got the press to attend our meetings until the powerful people banned the press.

The county Democratic chairman came to me about running for council, I ran and got the most votes. While I was on council I worked to get another Democrat on council. While on council I attended voluntary fireman meetings, attended Rec Board meetings, went to a university to learn about zoning. I was elected to a 2nd term.

Did I mention that I live in a Magat town?

My job took me away from town for long periods of time that prevented me from staying on council after 2 terms.

I donate to Indivisible because it is out in the streets, I donate to the ACLU because it is out in the streets. I support people like Miles Taylor who has organized people at the grass roots level to fight against Magats.

This is who I am. When the time comes I will donate money to candidates but right now I donate to activists. I live in Pa. but still donate to Democratic candidates in other states.

People who say that I do not support Democrats don't understand what it takes to be a Democrat and it hurt me really bad. Rant off.
