13. Well, the problem in medicine has always been standardization

That's why most prescribed medications have a range of dosages that is supposed to account for (among other things) a patient's "size", metabolism, and genetic tolerances.

When my spouse decided to use CBD for two months while weaning himself off Oxycodone for his arthritis/psoriasis, his GP ran some numbers on the side and came up with a percentage of CBD in coconut oil to use to make a 8x8 pan for a batch of 1 ounce brownies or 1 cup of the caramel coating for 4 cups of popcorn. But we had to use a precise amount and preparation of CBD oil from a specific strain of plant (high CBD/low THC) per 12 oz of coconut butter/oil.

Small 1/2 cup snack bags of caramel corn (about 1 dozen pieces) using a Pennsylvania Dutch recipe worked best as he ended up getting a time release dosage until he could manage on just an OTC pain reliever and Voltarin. Took about a month and a half.

He hates the THC couch lock. But the CBD helped him immensely getting off the Oxy, he only had withdrawal problems the first three days.

The sourcing and standardized dosage - and quality controls are the greatest problems with Medical Marijuana, just as they are with every supplement or even factory manufactured pharmaceuticals people use for health issues.
