both are maggots, that is about it. feeding behavior and lifecycle quite different. screw worms eat living flesh. other fly maggots can infest wounds but they eat dead material. screw worms just keep going and easily re-infest the ever enlarging wound. bot fly larvae have a more complex lifecycle.
