They are afraid of Americans.
I don't know if I fully agree with this strong claim, but I generally agree with the sentiment.
They are fearful of a type of politics, a style of campaign that they have no experience in.
They are like toddlers going into a pool for the first time. They are tentative and they need water waders. This is not the election to be weak kneed
