(17,858 posts)I had the same sick feelings. And I agree that I believe it will get worse.
I was just watching a video - nothing confirmed - but one person was talking about how the flies are transported by storms and we've had massive amount of thunderstorms over the last couple of months in South Texas. This person was in Mexico talking about how they are handling the infestations there, and he indicated that the majority of the cases they are seeing are actually in companion animals for some reason.
Now, for everyone reading this who insists on people being informed - again, nothing confirmed. This was one person's observation. It was someone who indicated that he was familiar with screwworm and he found it odd that this was affecting companion animals as much as it was.
