(951 posts)I asked if you could explain how "did you figure out that some offensive statements are proven true by virtue of their offensiveness while others aren't?" Your apparent response is that you favor feminists, and disfavor the "gun culture." That's a cultural preference, not a logical distinction, particularly for explaining the "offensiveness EQUALS truth" function that you seem be struggling to establish (Of course, you reject this function when it produces results which you don't like).
After all, even if no woman in the US ever killed anyone, that would still not explain why offensive statements about women are not proven true by their offensiveness. Or, for that matter, why nasty statements about gun owners would be proven true by dint of their offensiveness. To take an example of a group which is pretty universally held to be bad, saying that "All SS soldiers ate their own children" would be offensive to SS soldiers, AND SS soldiers were a very bad group of people who killed a lot of other people, yet the statement is still untrue.
Edit: At any point, feel free to declare that insulting groups you don't like automatically proves the truth of the insults, while insulting groups you do like does not prove the truth of the insults. I mean, this contention looks and smells like tribalistic verbal diarrhea completely lacking in logical coherency, but that certainly doesn't take it outside the realm of standard political discourse.
