Thirty-three countries offer unconditional, automatic birthright citizenship (jus soli) to anyone born within their borders, regardless of their parents' legal status. This is most commonly practiced in the Americas, with the United States, Canada, and Mexico being prominent examples, along with nearly all countries in South America
