14. I never said reconsider the case. An actual law could be rightly challenged and reach the Supreme Court.

Where the law could prevail on a change in the makeup or mind of the Court. While it’s probably true that “congressional law can never override the constitution”, the Supreme Court’s interpretation is subject to change. That the decision was 5-4 tells us that this constitutional interpretation is not beyond reproach. I believe we get to comfortable with our “constitutional” rights that exist at the whim of the Supreme Court. In my opinion, this has made possible Supreme Court appointments less of a Presidential election issue than it should be.
