Some anecdotal good news, perhaps? We took our grandson to the Hendersonville NC 4th of July parade this AM. [View all]

Very small town - lots of fire engines, tractors, a few floats of a sort, just what one would expect of a town of 15K people.

What I expected to see - some MAGA hats, MAGA wear, some republican "floats" that got lots of cheers.

What we saw - not a single T#(%p or MAGA item. Only Democratic candidates cars/floats, including the Democratic Party of this area. Those people/floats/cars got loud applause.

Could this be a tiny indication that the tide indeed is turning?

BTW - Hendersonville is on the red side of purple - about 20 minutes away from true blue Asheville. But Chuckie Edwards has an office downtown that the parade went by. It is bluing up because of a burgeoning art scene, diverse restaurants, lots of music. But it has its share of cars with confederate flags driving around too. It is an interesting, delightful place to live, for sure.
