30. Brain death is DEATH under federal law. ALL DEATHS MUST BE REPORTED

and treated as DEATH immediately.

That doesn't preclude delays to deal with various potential donations that maybe must await family signing off.

For an older person maybe not a heart or kidneys, but maybe cornea, bone marrow or such.
