Donald Trump claims Taylor Swift has less TikTok followers than he does

Donald Trump just said that he's more influential on TikTok than Taylor Swift, but the source of his claim remains a blank space.

During a Monday (July 6) press conference, the twice-impeached president falsely bragged that his following on the platform - which he at one point referred to as "Tic Tac" - is greater than the pop superstar's. He told press gathered at the White House: "There's a thing called TikTok, have you heard of it? It was announced about two days ago, the new numbers just came out, you know who the No. 1 person in [TikTok] is by far? Trump. Me."

"I'm No. 1," he continued. "Taylor Swift was No. 11. I'm No. 1 in TikTok by far."

Billboard has reached out to the singer's rep for comment.
