36. NO - I'm a parent - I was actually thinking detention

Don't be an idiot - I was talking about a scared straight kind of thing - bad actions should have consequences (not allowed to go out; do chores in place of video games; being kicked off the football team, suspended from school and being forced to go to classes on good behavior and if they still don't get, some scared straight stuff like spending a day in jail to see if you want to continue your actions)

What would you suggest if you had a 16 year old kid who drinks alot on a regular basis? Leave him alone and hope he doesn't go out and gang rape someone?
