Its like choosing to hang close to the bully that only steals your lunch money, as opposed to hanging near the one that takes your lunch money AND beats you up after school besides.

Why wouldn't you? But it doesn't mean it will be easy for progressive minded voters.
Its a redundant OP, and feels a little arrogant. Its a little like one of the kids that surround the "lesser" bully rubbing it in. "whatcha gonna do?...go across the yard and stand with the bigger bully?....what, no? he he he.....now turn out those pockets!"
