(25,406 posts)The English sign refers to the "playground" (i.e. where the swings and slides are) and the Spanish sign to the "field" (like a baseball or soccer field). Quite possibly they make English and Spanish signs for playgrounds (stating that parental supervision is required) as well as English and Spanish signs for fields (saying that a permit is needed). And someone screwed up and paired an English "playground" sign with a Spanish "field" sign.

A few people there also suspect a photoshop, but (as is usually the case) incompetence is the most likely explanation. Enough people are bilingual that it is impossible to believe that someone would think they could get away with such blatant racism.
