Kpete you are right in your indignation and the sign is offensive. However, this is a public playground and the sign probably reflects the laziness of the public employees responsible for mounting the sign. In many people, emotions control their lives and a dramatic response such as yours only tends to fan the flames of hatred without fixing the problem. You should have pointed this out to the parks employees for correction and THEN crowed about your victory...although it is more humble to sit back and reflect on the fact you made a difference. .
The really disturbing aspect for me is that the park is devoid of any happy, laughing, running children of any race, color, sex, religion, or ethnicity. Where are the kids?
